Cybersecurity Needs More Women – and We’re Taking Action
Despite the rapid growth of the tech sector, women are still underrepresented in cybersecurity. Globally, less than 25% of the cybersecurity workforce are women, and the gap is even wider in Northern Europe. This is not just a question of equality
– it is a question of untapped talent, innovation, and competitiveness.
The CyberStart project, co-funded by Interreg Central Baltic, is changing this. Together with our partners -> coordinator Riga TechGirls and as partner All Opportunities (Riga), we are creating new career paths for women who are currently unemployed or underemployed
🔹 90 women across Latvia, Estonia, and Finland will be reskilled and upskilled in cybersecurity.
🔹 At Proxylab ry (Finland), we are committed to supporting 30 women in building the knowledge, confidence, and skills to succeed in the cybersecurity labor market.
Enrollment for our live-training program is now open!
This is more than a training program – it’s about empowering women to step into one of the most in-demand professions of our time. By raising awareness and opening doors, we are helping women gain the tools to thrive while strengthening Europe’s digital resilience.
🚀 Change starts with opportunities. Cybersecurity needs diversity, creativity, and fresh perspectives – and women belong at the center of this transformation.
